Meet the Founder
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Mike Shahabi was born on September 17, 1955 in Tehran, Iran, and is of Parsi heritage. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from University College London (1973) and a Master's degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London (1977), graduating with honors.
With over 48 years of experience, Mike has worked in pharmaceuticals, oil and gas at Bechtel Petroleum Corporation, and mining in California and Nevada. He later served as Custom Engineering Manager at Rosemount Gas Analytical, gaining deep expertise in gas analytical instrumentation. Since his first trip to Nepal in May 2023, he has traveled to Kathmandu three times, meeting Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli and the leadership of Dhulikhel Hospital — and founded Everest Nepal NP Corporation to bring clean air, healthcare, and opportunity to the Nepalese people.

Our Purpose
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
During a visit to Kathmandu, Mike noticed the city's air was so polluted that it was difficult to breathe on a morning walk — comparable, by some estimates, to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. That experience shaped a clear purpose: to help the people of Nepal live better, healthier lives through clean air, better healthcare, and social welfare programs for those most in need.
